For several years, Amanda has been the glue and the glory behind the success of the The Art Box in Charlottesville, and is now managing the full operation in Charlottesville. Amanda’s customers love her smiling face, and warm heart. She is always willing to place special orders for you, and her ability to help guide you with your special project is unparalleled.
Brian Goff
Many of you will remember Brian. He worked for us from 1998 - 2004, and still has many fans and friends among our clientele. Wooed away by the world of wine, we lost him for 8 years. We’ve managed to coerce him back to assist with the day to day operations in the framing department and retail store. Don’t forget, he’s also one of our quick-draw paper masters, able to identify sheets at twenty paces!
Virginia Reiley
Virginia has been our master frame builder for several
years. The reason our frames stay tight as the years go by, is because Virginia
knows how to build great frames. If
you have ever worked with wood, you know that every grain and every piece is
different. Wrestling wood into shape and under control is a rare talent left to
those with great self-confidence and patience. Virginia has both! When you ask
her advice on a frame design, you will get a designer’s - and a practitioner’s
- view.
Joanna Mullen
Joanna is affectionately known in
our shop as “Sweet Tea”, since she
has a passion for the perfect Southern Beverage. Meticulous and exacting, she
is the one who turns out the finished product that we are proud to put our
sticker on. She is our final judge. If it passes Joanna’s critique, we are
satisfied. She also has a “thing” for Superman - go figure.... And what a
laugh! When she laughs, you laugh!
